Comprehending time in my Trailer

Using information from "Mediaknowall" and "www.aber.ac.uk/media" i have started to think of ways to comprehend time in my trailer as its a story which would be over at leats 5 years, so their are devices used in movies to denote time passing. Some of these which i am thinking about using in my trailer are:-
> Flashbacks; Flashforward = The information revealed in one time frame will alter the understanding that the audience has of another time frame.
> Dream sequences = dreams can be used to mislead the audiences by making them believe that sine events are actually taking place but in reality are only dreams.
> Hallucinations = these can mislead the audience and situates them with the character in terms of their knowledge.
> Voice-over = discrepancies can create humour or be used to show deciet between characters. Further they delimit the terms of narrative disclosure between the characters.
> Repetition = Repetition of scenes or phrases to make as if time is moving on by.

I will probably use concepts of only a few of these but i will defiantly use Hallucinations because Jack the main male character hallucinates seeing his dead girlfriend everywhere. i will also use Voice-over as i think this will be effective in a trailer where the voice over then goes on to link to a character speaking. and Repetition, i will most likely have a repetition of certain phrases and scenes (bvt the scenes will be shorter and quicker - more like flashing images) but i will use these more to add to the horror effect of the trailer than to comprehend time.
