Genre - Fantasy

FANTASY FILMS ...
Fantasy films are films with fantastic themes, usually involving magic, supernatural events, make-believe creatures, or exotic fantasy worlds. The genre is considered to be distinct from science fiction film and horror film, although the genres do overlap. Mythology is looked at in alot of fantasy films.
... Avatar was a huge hit and a must see because of the new technology used to make the film. this is a big part of fantasy films where the special effects attract people to come and see it. Clash of the titans tried this with putting there film in 3D but after reading reviews and talking to people with all the special effects already in it is was not needed to be in 3D and was too much. Most fantasy films tend to be big budget, but there a few fanatasy films without a large budget, pans labyrinth had a moderantley low budget for a fantasy film compared to Avatar whos budget was large around $300 million Panz Labyrinth was $14.5 million.

In conclusion ... Even though Fantasy movies are a very popular movie genre it will be quite impossible for me to make on a low budget as they are mainly based upon CGI special effects for characters locations etc. there is always something out of this world or magical in fantasy films which is very hard to do without the budget of the technology to do it. this is defiantly not a genre i can do.
